A second video featured each of the honorees and highlighting their unique accomplishments. All in attendance agreed that this delightful event was a wonderful gathering of family and friends.

The honorees for the 2019 event were: Bruce Burpee, Fayge S. Cohen, Rose Ellen Fenster, Key Howard, Joel Jones, Sonja Marchesano, Sandra Moss, and Gilbert Walker.

Sponsors for the event included:

Silver Sponsors: Robert and Judith Hara, David & Audrey Pearlman Family Philanthropic Fund, Ron and Mardi Shader, Barbara Weinreich, Scott and Lauren Zimmerman

The 8 over 80 honorary dinner benefitted the KCOA which provides programs for residents that are not included in the resident's monthly rent. These programs include onsite weekly exercise classes, cultural activities and holiday celebrations as well as excursions including trips to Publix, Walmart and local restaurants. KCOA also provides transportation for special events and entertainment in the area. KCOA continues to fund the popular monthly food pantry, which provides a grocery bag to residents at no cost to them. Currently over 120 residents are participating in this program.
