Obituary - DR. MARK S. COOPERSTEIN

Mark Steven Cooperstein, 73, of Orlando, passed away on Sunday morning, Sept. 8, 2019, at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. Dr. Cooperstein was born on Sept. 1, 1946, in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Beatrice Rosen Cooperstein. He was raised in Philadelphia, graduating from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

On June 22, 1968, in Philadelphia, he married his wife of more than 51 years, the former Harriet Blavat, who survives him. They lived for a time in New Jersey and Lancaster, pa. They relocated to Naples, Fla., in 2002, and ultimately moved to the Orlando area in 2018.

In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his son, Mathew (Katie) Cooperstein of Redondo Beach, Calif .; and daughter, Frani Cooperstein of Orlando. He was the proud grandfather of Sunny and Lotus. Mark is also survived by his brother, Stuart Cooperstein of Boynton Beach, Fla.

A funeral service was held at the Pavilion at Temple Israel Cemetery with Rabbi Rick Sherwin officiating. Burial followed in the Temple cemetery.
