Obituary - LYNN M. COHEN

Lynn M. Cohen, age 98, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019. He was born in Flushing, New York, on Sept. 19, 1921, a son of the late Godfrey S. and Marie D. Rosenbaum Cohen. Lynn was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., and served in the U.S. Navy. On Feb. 6, 1948, in New York City, he married the former Lottie Meyer, his wife of more than 71 years who survives him. Lynn had a long and successful career as a life insurance agent. The family relocated to the Orlando area and have been long-time members of Congregation Ohev Shalom. Lynn was also a Mason.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Richard (Es) Cohen of Apopka and Russell of DeBary; and his grandchildren—Lori Cohen, Andrew (Raechel) Cohen, Autumn Cohen (Christopher) Bendall, Justin (Sara) Presser and Matthew (Justine) Presser. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald S. Cohen, of Hilton Head, S.C.

Graveside funeral services and interment were held at Congregation Ohev Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi David Kay officiating. In memory of Lynn M. Cohen, the family requests contributions to the COS Seniors, 613 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland 32751.
