Stanley Magath, (Zalman ben Avraham Yitzhak v’Sarah), age 87, of Clermont, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at South Lake Hospital in Clermont. Stanley was born on Nov. 15, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Abraham Jack and Sarah Kaplan Magath. He was a high school graduate and served in the United States Army. On Jan. 27, 1952, in Brooklyn, he married the former Leah Franklin, his wife of over 68 years who survives him. Stan was the owner/operator of a retail electronics business in New Jersey. In 2017, he and Leah relocated to the Clermont area. In addition to his wife, Stan is survived by his sons, Mark (Cindy) Magath of Winter Garden and Bruce (Hillary) Magath of New Jersey. He was the proud grandfather of Derek, Nicole, Alex, Jordan and Ryan; and great-grandfather of Henry. He is also survived by his sister, Esther.
Due to COVID-19, a private family interment was held at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, Orlando, with Orrin Krublitt and Cantor Doug Ramsay officiating.
