Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
Rabbi E. Arnold Siegel is always available to local individuals and families who need a rabbi’s guidance and perspective.
It’s a time in our lives that isn’t easy for anyone, and we all go through at some point. When a loved one or even we ourselves get sick or approach the end of life, an essential part of what we need is a listening presence and a voice of hope and healing. That is exactly what JFS Orlando’s Rabbi Siegel provides.
Some of the comments from those Rabbi Siegel has helped:
“… It’s a much-needed service you provide to those of us in need. Thank you always for your time and words that mean so very much.”
“My sisters, dad, and I would like to thank you for all of your support during this difficult time. It meant the world to my mom that you were there for her — the service was beautiful. Thank you for all that you do and have done.”
The JFS community Chaplaincy program is a pastoral outreach service that provides end of life services, burial or memorial services, and other visits, such as hospice, hospital or home visits, to the unaffiliated Jewish community. It operates in partnership with the Greater Orlando Board of Rabbis and the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando.
Although there is a hospital lock-out of visiting clergy and social distancing has limited home visits during these difficult times, Rabbi E. Arnold Siegel is available now more than ever to local individuals and families who need a rabbi’s guidance and perspective.
“Area hospitals are allowing one or two family members per day, so I am not able to pick up the usual daily list of Jewish patients and visit each one,” he said. “But I am still on call for emergencies or a phone call with patients.”
Rabbi Siegel has continued to provide end of life visits, small size burials, and phone counseling.
