Jerome “Jerry” Felman, age 78, of Winter Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at South Seminole Hospital in Longwood. Jerry was born on April 19, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, one of three children born to the late Yitzhak Meyer and Sara Macks Felman.
A high school graduate, he attended college for two years. For many years, Jerry operated Chasin’s deli in Buffalo before selling it and relocating to Florida in 1985. He and Maria, his wife of 48 years who survives him, moved to the Orlando area in 2014. He had a second career in Florida in real estate.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Shana (Christopher) Anders of Oviedo; and his son, James Samuel (Maureen) Felman. He is also survived by his grandchildren — Max Aaron Anders, Chloe Elisabeth Anders, Margaret Felman, Carolin Felman and Julian Felman. He was predeceased by his sister, Ethel, and his brother, Ronald.
A private burial was held at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cemetery with Rabbi Steven W. Engel officiating.
