JFS Orlando CARES is here

Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, in partnership with the TOP Jewish Foundation and the Jewish Capital Alliance, is excited to announce the launch of a new financial assistance program called “JFS Orlando CARES.”

Dedicated to providing relief to those severely impacted financially during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program will provide $500,000 in emergency rental assistance. The program, a reimbursable Housing and Community Development grant awarded to JFS as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the *CARES Act, was made possible through loan funding from the TOP Jewish Foundation and the Jewish Capital Alliance.

Truly in the spirit of the Jewish value of tikkun olam, JFS Orlando CARES will help “repair the world” during these difficult and unpredictable times.

The program is open to qualifying Unincorporated Orange County residents, and it may provide up to two months of rental assistance. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about this program or to apply for assistance, visit the online application at http://www.jfscares.smapply.io/

*The CARES Act, is a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by the 116th U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020, in response to the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.
