Jeffrey Ettinger, age 81, passed away at Advent Hospital on Jan. 25, 2021. He was born May 16, 1939, in Miami Beach to the late Bea and Leon Ettinger. The family moved back to Orlando, where his mother’s large family resided in 1940, and Jeff lived here for the remainder of his life. He was a graduate of the Cranbrook School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, attended the University of Florida where he was an AEPi brother and then served in the United States Coast Guard.
Jeff was predeceased by his wife, Bettye, to whom he was married for 49 years. As a couple they enjoyed time on the Florida waterways in their boat and traveling. Jeff had a career in commercial real estate.
He is survived by his three children — Steven (Katrina) Ettinger, Cyndee (Shawn) Lukas, and Mara (Josh) Oleson; grandchildren, Truett Oleson and Raven Lukas; and sisters, Marilyn (Garry) Crotty and Roz Fuchs. Contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
