Obituary - RAPHAEL HABER

On Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, Raphael Haber, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 94 in Mexico City.

Ralph was born on March 23, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, to James and Mary (Saban) Haber. After graduating high school in 1944, he served in the U.S. Army until 1946. After his discharge from service, he entered into the retail and real estate businesses for the next 70 years. On Jan. 11, 1948, Ralph married Alegra Micha. The couple moved to Orlando, Florida, in 1950, where they raised a son James, and a daughter Mary.

In 1965, he began to move his family to Estes Park, Colorado, for the summers, a tradition that continued for decades.

Ralph was known for his love of family, his outgoing personality, and his highly respected business acumen, which he shared generously with all. He was a Mason for over 70 years. Ralph had a passion for traveling around the world with Alegra.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father, James, his mother Mary; his wife, Alegra; his brother, Michael; and his sister, Charlotte. He is survived by his children, James and Mary; his brothers, Alfred and Nathan; his sister, Stella, his grandchildren — Raphael, Elsa, Alegra, Alberto, Alegra and David; his great-granddaughter, Aline; and hundreds of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held on Jan. 31, 2021 at the Ohev Shalom Cemetery, in Orlando, where Ralph was laid to rest by the side of wife of 64 years, Alegra. Together once more, for eternity.
