Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice

Wish lists fulfilled thanks to Federation and CC's Wish List

Special thanks to Keith Dvorchik, the CEO of the Federation who partnered with CC's Wish List to provide in-kind donations to Jewish agencies and schools in the community. The staff at the Jewish Pavilion delivered free socks and ladies lounge pants to our elders in skilled nursing facilities. In total The Federation received: Women's Socks - 864 pairs; Women's Underwear - 2400 pairs; Ladies Lounge pants - 432 (this is the most in demand and we may run out); Fuzzy socks - 864 pairs; Men's Briefs - 432 pairs.

CC's Wish List distributes to pre-qualified nonprofits. They find extraordinary buys and look for good homes for many of these items. Organizations respond by stating which item or items they are interested in and the desired quantity(ies). There is no cost to the non-profits. All they need to do is arrange pickup at a warehouse.

CC's Wish List is able to stretch its dollars for greater philanthropic impact in Illinois and Florida. The list below provides some examples of the most common items donated to organizations over the last few years: Backpacks, Bedding (sheet sets & comforters), Books, Clothing & PJ's (kids & adults), Games, Pillows, School Supplies, Shoes, Sports Balls, Socks, Towels, Toys & Stuffed Animals, Winter Coats and Underwear.
