Business Update: Small businesses supporting and empowering each other

Last year revealed that the 31.7 million small businesses in America can truly make a difference when they support and rally around other local businesses. By working together, small businesses kept communities safe, fed, entertained, engaged and moving forward.

One aspect of May's Small Business Month mission highlights companies who desire to witness the growth and success of other small businesses. As businesses are starting to come back, locally owned and operated FASTSIGNS centers have proudly supported and empowered fellow businesses in their communities every day across the country. One local business owner who believes in lifting other businesses is Renee Friedman-Goldstein, franchisee at FASTSIGNS® of Central Orlando.

Friedman-Goldstein and Shiela Wyatt, owner of Shiela & Co. Professional, first met over 17 years ago. Recently, after working remotely for 20 years, Wyatt contacted Friedman-Goldstein with the exciting news that she had signed her first lease on a storefront location and wanted FASTSIGNS' help. Together, Friedman-Goldstein and Wyatt created the visual communication solutions for Wyatt's professional services business, such as the Exterior Building ID Sign, Interior Reception Sign, Logo Floor mats for both entrances, Branded Face masks, Truck and Trailer graphics and beautiful, upscale, painted edge Business Cards.

"Renee and her team at FASTSIGNS of Central Orlando gave me the confidence to open my own offices for the first time after 20 years in business," said Wyatt. "They helped me achieve my goals in a super fast time frame. They were professional and top-notch. Everything is perfect, and I cannot thank Renee enough."

Many years ago, Wyatt was referred to Friedman-Goldstein by a friend to organize her house. Their relationship continued, and Wyatt has coordinated and helped Friedman-Goldstein move four separate times since then. In addition, Wyatt has provided organizing services for Friedman-Goldstein and her FASTSIGNS center as they grow. Like every great relationship, these business owners truly support and rally around each other by sharing their skill sets to assist the other.

"Her ability to see what needs to be done is fantastic," said Friedman-Goldstein. "Over the years, we have provided her with various products. It was exciting to witness her space come to life with visual communication solutions."
