In 2002, he was inducted into the Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame for his rowing accomplishments.
Ron served on the board of The Hochstein School, was a longtime member of Temple Beth El in Rochester, a member of Congregation Ohev Shalom in Orlando and he was active in many community organizations in the Rochester area.
