Obituary - ANDREA BETTE RUBIN

Andrea Bette Rubin, age 79, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on Aug. 24, 2021, at The Suites at Trustbridge (Care Center in Boca Raton). Andrea, or Randie as she was known by her friends and family, was born in Brooklyn on Oct. 24, 1941 to the late Joel ad Cecille Kaden. Randie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Randie grew up going to Coney Island, where her grandparents operated an amusement on the boardwalk. She had fond memories of Coney Island and always shared stories about her time there. Randi had worked in the cosmetics industry and was a certified makeup artist, was a former realtor and had owned her own cosmetics company and make up artistry business. She loved Latin music and dancing. Randie enjoyed cooking, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family and friends. She liked to decorate her home with pretty things and enjoyed going to the beach. Randie was active in many clubs in her community including the Brooklyn Club. She played Mahjong and provided stage makeup for theater shows.

Randie is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Bill) Kicinski; son, Steven (Barbara) Silverman; son, Robert Silverman; and her grandchildren — Austin Silverman, Danielle Silverman and Carolyn Silverman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nannette Babenzien of Nashville, Tenn .; and by her husband, Howard Rubin of Delray Beach, Fla.

A graveside service, with Rabbi Sandy Olshansky officiating, was held at Beth Israel Cemetery, Gotha, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Association (donations.diabetes.org).
