An avid traveler, Marla Lynn Sinert, passed away just five weeks after returning from a trip to the Azores. With her husband of 45 years, Merrill, and daughter Molly by her side, Marla, 66, departed this life peacefully after a brief unexpected battle with cancer on March 25, 2022.
Marla was a lighthearted and kind wife, mother, sister and daughter. She loved her "Grand Pups" and was a friend to all animals. She often wore colorful tie-dye, which matched her bright personality. She found great joy in the simple things in life, including her daily iced coffee, and lived for experiences rather than material luxuries. Marla was enthusiastic about exploring the world with her husband. She will be cremated, and her family will spread her ashes as they continue her legacy of travel.
Marla graduated from Buffalo State College, where she met her husband. She worked for Bealls Department Store for over 17 years before retiring in 2020. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater.
Marla is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Elson, and brother, Martin Elson; and is survived by husband Merrill Sinert; daughter, Molly Sinert Ellis; mother, Ruth Elson; siste,r Fern Elson Cardella; and many other close family members.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date.
