Obituary - Lynn Judith Godorov

Lynn Judith Godorov, "Judy", was born in Philadelphia on June 1, 1934, to David and Frances Shuman. She passed on May 16, 2022.

She went to Temple University and taught kindergarten in inner-city schools in Philadelphia and Orlando. As a teacher at Grand Ave. and Rock Lake Elementary Schools, she was a celebrated educator and often went beyond for her students, knitting hats, buying clothes, and collecting books for them to take home.

Judy actively volunteered, advocating for the homeless and those in need. She had a lifelong commitment to giving back to her community.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Diane and Susan (Rick Trock); her grandchildren — Wolf-Ekkehard Hindrichs (Stephanie Hindrichs), Sieglind-Barrett Hindrichs (Waseem Daher) and Jessica Nolte; and her great-grandchildren — Emerson Hindrichs and Zane Daher-Hindrichs. Judy is also survived by her twin sister, Joan Ochroch.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Congregation of Reform Judaism, with Rabbi Steven Engel and Cantor Megdal officiating.
