Obituary - NORMA JANE KUSNETZ, MD

Norma Jane Kusnetz, MD, 59 of Winter Park, Florida, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 at her Winter Park home following her brave battle with breast cancer. Norma was born March 3, 1963 in Southfield, Michigan, a small suburb of Detroit, to Harold & Phyliss (Kurtz) Kusnetz. She had many friends growing up, many of whom she kept in touch with through the years. Norma was a loving and caring person.

Norma graduated Country Day High School and subsequently attended the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree in biology before going to medical school at Wayne State University where she earned her MD. After her residency in Family Medicine, Dr. Kusnetz made her way to Gainesville, Florida where she met her husband, Charles J. Koller, MD. They married on June 10, 2003 and moved to Winter Park, Florida where they raised 5 beautiful children and practiced medicine together under the same roof. Dr. Kusnetz served the Winter Park and surrounding communities in the practice of medicine for over 19 years. She was loved by all who knew her and touched many, many lives along the way. She will be dearly missed.

Norma is predeceased by her mother Phyliss (Kurtz) Kusnetz and older sister Linda Ginsburg.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of almost 20 years, Charles Koller and her 5 loving and devoted children — Hannah Yucht, Bradley Yucht, Adam Koller, Rachel Koller, and Matthew Koller; father, Harold Kusnetz; sisters, Lisa Solway and Ada Yerman; brother, Elliot Kusnetz; and countless brothers and sisters in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, patients and close friends.

Graveside Services for Dr. Kusnetz were held at Palm Cemetery (1005 North New York Avenue, Winter Park) with Cantor Nina Fine officiating.
