Obituary - RUTH D. DONENFELD

Ms. Ruth D. Donenfeld, 98, Longwood, Florida, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Advent Health Hospice following a brief illness. Ms. Donenfeld was born October 1924 in New York, New York, to the late Max and Celia Rubin. Ms. Donenfeld is predeceased by her husband, Irving S. Donenfeld.

Ruth was a strong, independent, and intelligent woman; and had many adventures over her lifetime. She was an avid stamp and coin collector and regularly played mahjongg for many years. Curious about life. a very stylish lady; into fashion even in her 50s, wearing leather skirts and large hoop earrings. Analytical; loved code breaking and doing logic puzzles. Strong-willed and a fighter. Loved a good argument for argument's sake. Stubborn and determined. Ruth will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Ms. Donenfeld is survived by her devoted children - Jeffri (Alex) Moore of Orlando, Florida; Jay Donenfeld of San Bernardino, California; and Joel (Dianne) Donenfeld of Kingman, Arizona; grandsons, Michael Lawhun and David Lawhun. Ruth also left behind her beloved companion, Gorden Tanner, of Ontario Canada.

Ms. Donenfeld graveside service will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
