RAISE Inclusion Director Rachel Slavkin and RAISE Strategy and Development Director Loren London met with Rosen Hotels & Resorts Human Resources department to share their mission of offering a work and social skills training program for neurodiverse adults along with guidance for transition to community employment. This partnership will provide RAISE participants with an opportunity to train and work in Rosen Hotels & Resorts.
Rosen Hotels & Resorts is now the 14th training site that has partnered with RAISE to welcome RAISE participants, along with their one-to-one job coach to work in a “real job” to gain the experience necessary for community employment.
Of this groundbreaking new partnership, London said, “We’re extremely proud to be able to work together with the team at Rosen Hotels & Resorts to offer such a meaningful training opportunity.”
Slavkin added that she is honored to play a role in promoting inclusion of adults with disabilities in Central Florida, asserting, “People with disabilities deserve a chance to achieve their hopes and dreams, just like everyone else.”
“At Rosen Hotels & Resorts, we believe this is a tremendous opportunity for us and the RAISE participants. Being a local company, entrenched in Central Florida, this is another great way for us to give back and upskill people who could be future RHR associates or part of the hospitality industry workforce as a whole,” said Dorea Mays, director of Human Resources at Rosen Hotels & Resorts.
RAISE stands for “Recognizing Abilities and Inclusion of Special Employees.” Entering its 10th year, RAISE is a paid work and social skills training program for adults with disabilities and is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. RAISE collaborates with partnering locations to provide participants with weekly job opportunities. RAISE builds confidence and independence, assisting participants as they transition to jobs in the community.
