Obituary -SARA M. DANZIGER

Sara M. Danziger, a woman of strong conviction, patriotism, and deep faith, peacefully passed away July 20, 2023, in Winter Park, Florida. Born in Guatemala City, she pursued academic excellence, earning a BSBA from the University of Cincinnati, and two MA degrees and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, specializing in Latin American Literature.

A dedicated Spanish teacher at the University of Maryland and BCC High School, Sara inspired countless students with her passion for language and culture. Beyond academia, she was a talented artist, expressing her creativity with boundless imagination. Sara’s unwavering patriotism and religious faith added depth and meaning to her life, guiding her through each chapter with grace and resilience.

For 69 years, she shared a profound love with her husband, David G. Danziger, setting a shining example of enduring devotion. Survived by her loving children Deborah, Daniel, Lisa, and Rosanne, and cherished grandchildren — Brandon, Danielle Fisher, Eliana, and Aaron Karr; siblings — Enrique, Gloria, Miriam, Clara, her memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Danziger were held in the Yank Frank Pavilion at Temple Israel Cemetery (9302 Morton Jones Road, Gotha, FL) with Rabbi Sholom Dubov officiating. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for her love, conviction, and inspiration to all who knew her.
