Local residents, Neal and Genie Blaher’s son, Noah, is in northern Israel in a combat support position. The following is a request concerning needed equipment in Israel.
Greetings friends,
Noah has been called up to the reserves in the IDF, specifically on the Northern front facing Lebanon and Hezbollah. He remains in a combat support position. This means that although he will not be engaged directly in combat, he will be providing “support.” This can include approaching the front lines to replenish artillery and other needs of his fellow soldiers.
Because of the strength of the Israeli military, we take some things for granted. With military action being an almost daily occurrence, you begin to wonder how do they keep supplies replenished?
Noah has told us that his noncombat unit is left with older equipment, including bulletproof vests, helmets, etc. They are very outdated and less effective items than what the troops who are fighting on the frontlines receive. He also told us there is a source that sells IDF equipment, and he wants to buy the necessary gear for his unit of about 50 guys. He has set up a GoFundMe. The link is below.
We have no expectations. If you are comfortable with this and have something to contribute, great. Everyone has their “stuff,” so if not, that’s okay too. We just thank you for reading this and giving it consideration. Here is the link: https://gofund.me/d3745806.
