Carlos E. Perez, 55, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Sept. 4, 2024. He was born on Dec. 24, 1968, in La Havana, Cuba, where he was the beloved youngest and only son of Norma and Eullio Perez, growing up alongside his six sisters. His Cuban heritage was a source of pride and an integral part of his life, and he carried the love and lessons of his upbringing with him throughout his life.
Carlos was a loving father to his children, Carlos and Heydi Perez, and a proud grandfather to four grandchildren.
Carlos served the Cuban military for three years and after his time in the service, he moved to Miami and eventually settled in Orlando, Florida, where he spent his final years with his beloved partner, Margarita Roman.
While living in Orlando, Carlos was a hardworking and humble individual. He owned a roofing company and also worked as a truck driver, embodying the values of hard work and determination throughout his life. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness, strength, and dedication to his family.
Carlos will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Graveside service for Carlos were held at Congregation Ohev Shalom Cemetery (6034 Old Winter Garden Road, Orlando, FL) with Rabbi Arnold Siegel of Jewish Family Services officiating. May he rest in peace and may his memory always be a blessing.
