On Tuesday, December 3, the Jewish Chamber hosted a festive Hanukkah breakfast at One Senior Place in Altamonte Springs, welcoming 25 attendees from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the Festival of Lights. The event featured a vibrant display of holiday décor and a delicious spread of homemade Hanukkah favorites creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Guests enjoyed classic treats like latkes, sufganiyot, and other traditional holiday dishes while connecting with fellow attendees. The breakfast was not only a celebration of Jewish heritage but also a bridge to build understanding and friendships within the broader community.
This event marked the final program of Bree Goldstein's tenure as president of the Jewish Chamber. Goldstein, who played a pivotal role in growing the organization, will remain on the Board and continue to chair its marketing efforts. Harrison Shames, executive director of the Jewish National Fund, will be the new president and shared his excitement for taking the reins and building upon the Chamber's success.
In addition to celebrating Hanukkah, the Jewish Chamber announced an exciting initiative: free breakfasts will now be held on the first Thursday of every month at 8:30 a.m. at One Senior Place. These gatherings, open to everyone regardless of religious or Chamber affiliation, provide a unique opportunity to connect, share ideas, and strengthen community bonds.
The Chamber extends heartfelt thanks to One Senior Place and board members who provided the treats who attended. For more information on future events, visit http://www.jewish-chamber.com.
