Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
The Jewish Chamber of Commerce in Orlando, led by Board President Harrison Shames of the Jewish National Fund, continues its mission of fostering community connections and providing networking opportunities to individuals from all backgrounds. Each month, the Chamber hosts a free networking breakfast at One Senior Place in Altamonte Springs, welcoming both members and non-members, regardless of faith or affiliation.
Held every first Thursday morning at 8:30 am, the networking breakfast offers a space for local business leaders and professionals to connect, collaborate, and support one another. The gathering provides a platform for everyone to expand their professional networks while enjoying a warm, inclusive environment.
On Jan. 2, the group celebrated the final day of Chanukah, marking the occasion with festive joy and camaraderie. The event featured delicious breakfast treats, lively conversation, and a sense of unity that reflects the Chamber's values of inclusivity and mutual support. The celebration was captured in a memorable group photo taken by local photographers Jaime and Ana Rivera from Jar Studio.
Looking ahead, the next networking breakfast will take place on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2025. The Chamber plans to celebrate Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish "New Year for Trees," a day that honors nature and environmental awareness. The event will continue the tradition of welcoming both Jewish and non-Jewish attendees to celebrate and network.
The Jewish Chamber of Commerce provides a vital space for the local Jewish community to thrive, and Harrison Shames remains dedicated to ensuring the Chamber is a place where all are welcome. Whether you're a business owner, a professional looking to expand your network, or simply someone interested in learning more about the Jewish community, the free breakfast events at One Senior Place are an ideal way to connect.
