Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
The Israeli American Council Central Florida, in collaboration with Shalom Orlando, is bringing The Anti-Zionism Escape Room to the Roth Family JCC, 851 N. Maitland Ave., on Feb. 4-5, 2025.
This Escape Room is an immersive experience designed to address the challenges of anti-Zionism, inspired by the events of the past year and the rising protests on campuses and in public spaces. Through collaboration and critical thinking, participants will learn definitions and ways to identify anti-Zionism and develop strategies for addressing cases of anti-Zionism in the U.S.
Jeny Dementeva, IAC’s National Director of K-12 Fighting Antisemitism and Civic Engagement, will facilitated the program. Dementeva is a dedicated educator with more than a decade of experience in both formal and informal education, focusing on antisemitism and hatred.
The program, designed for ages 13 and up, is comprised of small groups of 7-10 participants and lasts about 20-30 minutes.
Following the activity, a reflective discussion will be hosted to help participants process their experience and apply the tools they’ve learned to real-life scenarios.
Sessions are from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. and 6 p.m.–8 p.m. on Feb. 4; and 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. on Feb. 5.
