Purim celebrations around Orlando

Shalom Orlando

Come in costume to the Orlando Solar Bears hockey game on March 9. The Solar Bears will take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the Kia Center, 3 p.m.

Schedule of events include: 1:30 – 2:50 p.m., snacks and children's activities; 2 p.m., doors open, 3 p.m. the game begins, and at 5:40 p.m. the Jewish Academy of Orlando Choir will perform and there will be a parade on the ice.

Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation

Shushan Casino, March 8, at 7:15 p.m. Enjoy casino games, food, drink and silent auction. Cost is $36. Go to SOJC.org to RSVP.

Sponsored by Jewish Family Services and Ed and Marian Bromberg, SOJC presents the Magic of Shushan Purim Celebration Magic Show on Sunday, March 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Included in the event are music by D.J. Omar, a BBQ lunch, face painting, Hamantaschen baking, crafts including grogger making and more games. All access wristband for students and children, $18. Other costs can be found at SOJC.org. Congregation Ohev Shalom

Celebrate a Purim Carnival on March 13 at 5p.m. followed by Purim on Broadway Megillah Reading at 6:30 p.m. Games include tot zone, face painting, ballon artist, juggler, a photo booth, and hamantaschen baking. Pre-purchase game bands and food tickets at https://www.ohevshalom.org/form/purim-2025.

Chabad of North Orlando

Megillah and Magic! Thursday, March 13, celebrate Purim with mind-blowing and funny magician Ari Novick after the 7:15 p.m. Mincha and Torah reading, evening service at 7:45 p.m. and the Megilah reading at 8 p.m. The Magic show will begin at 8:30 p.m. There is also wine, cheese and chocolate all held at the Waves Event Venue, 59 Skyline Dr., Ste 1000, Lake Mary. Chabad Orlando

On Friday, March 14, 5:30 p.m. enjoy a Fiddler Purim and Shabbat Dinner at 150 N. New York Ave., Winter Park. See The Amazing Bottle Dancers; children are invited to paint their own pottery, led by All Fired Up; and completing the evening is a Shtetl themed catered Shabbat dinner. Chabad of Altamonte Springs

Celebrate Purim on March 14 at the Eastmonte Civic Center from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. The evening begins with a Megillah reading, followed by a lavish dinner and masquerade. Enjoy international cuisine by Sage Catering, a henna tattoo station, and creative games and crafts for the whole family. Come in costume and take part in our adult and children's masquerade contests for a chance to win great prizes. Eastmonte Civic Center is located at 830 Magnolia Dr., Altamonte Springs.
